It probably is to those in Stockton on Teme, who were wondering why fire engines were in the vicinity .

The news item here COULD be what caused the tumble drier to over heat and catch fire.
Tumble driers come with quite explicit instructions, and not just to plug in and that's it. For instance our non-vented Tumble drier has to have the easily reached internal filter cleaned / inspected every time you use it to prevent a build up of Fluff, (which might cause a fire) Also you are encouraged to empty the water Vapour collection container again easily reached. So NOT Rocket Science, just two simple instructions which help in the safe / efficient use of a Tumlbe Drier.
People who don't read and follow the instructions for appliances such as Washing Machines & Tumble Driers are courting problems, particularly those who load ether a Tumble drier or Washing Machine then go out., even if just to pop the kids to school. Fire Brigades will warn you not to leave these two appliances running while away from your home.
